BME (Biomedical Engineering) Career Alliance will be hosting its annual Southeast Biomedical Engineering Career (SBE) Conference. This year it will commence in Washington D.C. on the October 30th, 2009. The Conference also boasts a network session for students to meet companies looking for fresh talent. Any of you who are interested in the field of biomedical engineering should attend this conference.
Material Science and Technology (MS&T) will be hosting a national conference October 25th through October 29th, 2009. MS&T focuses on joining students and professionals within the material science and technology field. This year the conference and career fair will take place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. There will be a special career fair on October 27th, 2009 for students interested in work and/or graduate school. All interested in this field should attend.
BioOhio will be hosting a live webinar virtual career fair on October 27th, 2009 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. The career fair will begin with the companies announcing what type of positions they have available followed by candidates applying for these positions. Any of you who are interested in the biomedical industry should participate in this fair.
AISES, American Indian Science and Engineering Society is holding its annual national conference October 29th through October 31st, 2009. This year the event will be held in Portland, Oregon. All engineering disciplines are encouraged to attend this conference because the career fair will have an incredible amount of companies present. 
The University of Miami will be holding its 2009 Green Fair this year on October 20th, 2009. It is a fair focused on bringing together students and organizations focused on a green initiative. To attend the fair you must be a registered University of Miami student. 
Tau Beta Pi will be hosting its 104th Convention this year from October 15th, 2009 through October 17th, 2009. The Convention will take place at Rutgers University in Piscataway, New Jeresey. All Tau Beta Pi students and alumni of all engineering disciplines are encouraged to attend.
At the end of this month, specifically October 28th - November 1st, 2009, SHPE , Society of Hispanic Engineers, will be holding its annual national conference. This year the festivities will be in Washington DC. During the conference attendees will have a chance to participate in the annual career fair. A large amount of companies will be present so I highly advise any engineer to attend; even if you are not Hispanic or you do not speak spanish. To attend the career fair you must be registered.
Allhealthcarejobs will host a career fair at the University of Cincinatti in Cincinatti, Ohio. The fair, sponsored by local WLWT-TV Channel 5 will focus on offering employment in the healthcare industries. So anybody in the fields of nursing, therapy, orthopedic surgery, laboratory, pharmacy, radiation, oncology, rehab therapy support staff, care givers, sports medicine, physicians, information technology (IT) that is within the area should apply.
Attention all chemical engineers, AIChe, the American Institute for Chemical Engineers, will be having an online career fair for students and professionals alike. The professional's career fair will be held on October 26th and 27th, 2009, while the student's career fair will be held on October 28th and 29th, 2009.
BioSpace is having a career fair in Raleigh, NC today, October 14th. The career fair will have an emphasis on biotech companies and employee candidates. Anyone interested should pre-register before you go. The career fair at the Raleigh Convention Center starts at 1pm and lasts until 6pm, but I suggest you arrive an hour earlier to accommodate for driving, parking, etc. For further details and registration info check this link.
